This video documents the treatment journey of a patient with the rare disease retroperitoneal alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma with liver metastasis.

Because the tumor was located near major blood vessels and surrounded by complex structures, surgery carried extremely high risks. The presence of distant liver metastasis further worsened the prognosis.

After a multidisciplinary team evaluation, the patient opted for 5th-generation Helical Knife (Gamma Knife) stereotactic radiotherapy. With high-dose, focused irradiation, the treatment successfully spared surrounding vital organs while maximizing the attack on the tumor. 🔥

Post-treatment imaging demonstrated:
✅ Significant shrinkage of the primary retroperitoneal lesion
✅ Effective control of the hepatic metastases
✅ Ideal recovery with marked improvement in quality of life

The Helical Knife treatment was non-invasive, painless, and required no anesthesia, making it especially suitable for patients who are inoperable, at high risk of recurrence, or with tumors located in complex anatomical regions.

Through this real-world case, we hope to share an important message:
Even in the face of rare and complex cancers, there can still be opportunities for recovery. With the right approach and the right treatment, there is always hope.
